In short
A foreign seller can sell online in Uzbekistan without opening a local company by working with a fulfillment partner that imports the goods DDP, stores them in Tashkent, confirms orders by phone, delivers them cash on delivery and pays out the cash collected. The seller keeps the brand, the ads and the prices.
Key facts
- No local entity needed when a partner imports DDP and handles delivery.
- You keep your brand, your ad accounts and your selling prices.
- Buyers are called in Uzbek or Russian before each shipment.
- Cash is paid out on a fixed schedule, up to twice a week.
Opening a company abroad is slow: legal address, bank account, tax registration, an import licence for some goods. For a first test it is rarely worth it.
This article shows how to sell online in Uzbekistan while staying where you are, which tasks a partner takes over, what you still do yourself, and the questions to ask before you sign.
Who does what when you sell from abroad?
| Task | You | Fulfillment partner |
|---|---|---|
| Product choice and selling price | Yes | Advice |
| Ads and landing pages | Yes | No |
| Sourcing and DDP import | Optional | Yes |
| Storage in Tashkent | No | Yes |
| Calling each buyer | No | Yes |
| Delivery and cash collection | No | Yes |
| Returns back to stock | No | Yes |
| Payout and statement | Receive | Yes |
Your job stays the same as in any COD market: find products, make ads that convert, and send good leads.
How do the goods enter the country legally?
With DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), the shipping partner clears customs and pays duties and taxes on arrival. You receive a single price per kilogram, known before you order. This is why most foreign sellers start with goods bought in China. Details in DDP shipping from China to Uzbekistan.
How do you receive the money?
The courier collects the cash and transfers it to the fulfillment partner. The partner then pays you the amount collected minus its fees, on a fixed schedule, by bank transfer to the account you register. Each payout comes with a statement: order, amount collected, fees, net.
Ask for the schedule in writing (for example every Tuesday and Friday) and for the statement format before you ship your first batch.
What are the risks, and how do you limit them?
- Low confirmation rate: your leads are weak or the offer is unclear. Fix the ad and the landing page first; see the call center article.
- High return rate: the price looks too high at the door, or delivery is too slow. Test the price and watch delivery times.
- Stock stuck in the warehouse: test with a small air shipment before ordering a container.
- Unclear fees: ask for a full fee list and a sample statement.
Checklist before your first shipment
- 1One to three products with a clear benefit, light and hard to break.
- 2Selling price checked with the landed cost formula.
- 3Ads and landing page in Uzbek and Russian.
- 4Payout account and schedule confirmed.
- 5A test plan with a stop date: see how to test a product in Uzbekistan.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a visa or to travel to Uzbekistan?
No. Everything can be run online: ads, order upload, stock and payouts are followed in a dashboard.
Can I use my own brand?
Yes. The partner works in the background; buyers see your brand and your product.
Which language should my ads use?
Uzbek and Russian. Many sellers test both and keep the one with the better confirmation rate.
Who pays duties and taxes?
With DDP they are included in the shipping price, so you know the landed cost before ordering.
